I have been looking at a pair shoes online, then decided to go to Nordstrom at the Fashion Show Mall to get them. Also bought my daughter a pair of shoes at the same time so she could save her money. I found them faulty after wearing them to dinner, as the strap just wouldn't stay on.
When I decided to return them to Nordstrom the next day so I can purchase another MK pair (Love his shoes!), I was greeted by an associate who had an accent, but I understood her chosen words as well as her tone.
I of course said "I need to return these shoes, please." She immediately said out loud. "Oh, you been wearing these shoes!" I said, no I haven't been wearing them. I wore them last night and..." then she said "no! you been wearing these shoes!" She turned away and out came a man who said "Ma'am, I understand you are trying to return shoes that you wore."
Oh my goodness; I haven't even been able to tell them the issue and I've already been attacked. What am I not? I am not a flashy dresser on a weekend, but my household income is double that of them both = I don't need to succumb to trickery to wear a pair of shoes that isn't even over $200. Really?!? REALLY?!?
Was this manager apologetic? no. Did he continue to make me feel like a second hand shop lifter? ABSOLUTELY! I would NEVER shop in Nordstrom again... well, not for shoes, anyway. I may just ban Nordstrom all together...we'll see.
What do I look like? I am Filipino, petite, I don't wear a lot of make up, or do my nails because I am a pianist, and I put my long hair up when I can. I smile ALL THE TIME, and I carry a backpack because I would imagine I would look like a poser if I carried a purse when I'm in REI cargo pants and Pategonia hiking shoes... each more expensive than the shoes I was trying to exchange for another MK shoes.
